Building in the hill with concrete blocks
I had to set the oven into the ground hill because my backyard is on a slope. It all worked real well.

Title: Split level backyard and in-ground wood fired oven
Description: Situated in my back yard, we completed construction of the oven in October 2003 and it has been an absolute delight to own. Pizza, bread, roasts and of course good wine has been enjoyed with friends and family members on many a Sunday afternoon bringing plenty of cheer and hmmm's from the yummy meals.
Real live cat is warming up on the chimney!

Bert
