Oven built higher off the ground in deck level

Charlie from West Virginia built his oven much higher up, 42 inches, off the ground as to reach the level of the wood floor of the deck at the back of the house.

MTo built from local stone and with copper roof

I decided to make the outside of this oven using local stone from our close-by stone yard quarry. And for the roof in its entirety I used copper sheets and copper nails.

Sundial Wood Burning Swish Oven

I’ve felt in tune with your oven designs for so long now. We have been quite lucky with the weather (cold, crisp and dry) so I’ve managed to make good building progress. Perhaps stubbornly, I’ve mixed all the concrete by hand and had to cut the reinforcing mesh with a tiny hacksaw, but I felt a real sense of achievement as each step fell into place.

Community oven in stones for bread and pizza

I am about to build my third oven, this time for another community. My second oven I built was the one in my own backyard for my family (link to it is down this page). And this here is THE first oven I built, it belongs to our community, we built it together using stones for making all the outer walls.

Finished oven built on a steep ground slope

This wood fired brick oven was built in quite a steep ground slope. The oven has also increased dome size internally so large roasts and other large meals can be comfortably cooked in the oven. Pictures of my finished oven and of the building process at various stages.

Canadian wood fired brick pizza oven

Canadian built, in Cobalt, Ontario, wood fired brick pizza and bread oven. The oven was built by Mike and was named Pauline – in memory of Mike’s grandmother Cherniuk. Look at those nice images on whose the oven is covered by the winter snow.

Oven under a large roof for cooking in the rain

I can cook in my wood fired oven pleasantly while outside is raining or snowing. No matter what’s the surprise with the weather, the oven and people or everything else is kept nicely dry under the spacious roof – extended both ways, in the front and at the back.

My oven cooks the most incredible pizza

I began to build my pizza oven just before winter 2010 approached. Then I finished it completely in spring 2011. My oven cooks the most fabulous pizzas one can cook and eat. Pizza oven named: Forno Di Russo.
