Travertine/Granite/River Rock Floor in Oven Possible?

I have searched Internet, and cannot find any information/feasibility of actually using stone in construction of hearth and dome of an oven. I am in the stone business - and would like to use travertine, granite or river run (cut to size) as flooring/dome of oven.
Does anybody have any experience or knowledge of feasibility of this concept?
