No vermiculite - how's pumice sound?
From the WFO board
Posted by wader
to protect the rock I am sitting the oven on, I am planning to use some of the black volcanic pumice and pour the concrete over it. Could not find vermiculite. Saw some Perlite but didn't know if it would do. Possibly vermiculite is only available @ the vegimite store?
Cheers

p.s. Any pics of ovens that have been place directly on the ground (with no wood storage chamber)?
Please wish us luck, (I am afraid we may need it).
