Will cladding crush ceramic blanket?
From the WFO board

Rado,
I enjoyed your CD and have progressed on my oven project to the point that I have started thinking about the concrete cladding stage. As I understand, the concrete cladding is applied after a ceramic blanket. My question is whether the concrete will crush the lightweight ceramic insulating blanket, or will it be fine? Also, should I put 1 or 2 inches of blanket on the dome?
If anyone else is getting firebrick in Southern California, I found 2600g/cc fire brick with 40% Alumina content, and 3200 deg. F ratings for $2.71 a piece. Email me to find out where. I was amazed because they were over half off everywhere else I looked. Anyway, I am excited about the oven.
Thanks again Rado.
