it's funny but it seems that tradition is different in Denmark (or has changed): I haven't been able to locate it in any shops with building materials - but it IS accessible since it is commonly used for other purposes.
Of course it is part of most pre-mixed mortars. I just wonder why you add it to the concrete for the hearth slab and cladding: It does not seem to improve the refractory properties?
