Solid Clay Bricks vs Fire Bricks
From the WFO board
Posted by Kim from Perth WA
Since I have heaps of solid bricks laying around I am wondering if using them, instead of fire bricks, would affect oven performance markedly?
I basically have 2 types, one is a red clay brick and the other is a white clay brick.
Is there any tests that can be done to see if they are suitable?
It would be interesting to hear if anyone has built an oven out of clay bricks.
I don't know if this is feasible but I thought well worth considering.
Cheers
