120mm arch height

Rado,
If I build an arch 120mm high over 850mm width do you think the stresses on the walls will be too high? Also how wide are the openings to your ovens? Right now a good size for me looks like 420mm. Why do you use broken teracotta in the foundations for your arches? Could I use regular refractory concrete with limestone aggrigate?
