Hey Buddy,
It all happened just like you said it would! When I soaked the brick and let the mortar stand a while, then added a little more water and mixed it, everything stuck great. I heard the bricks too. One thing I found out was that I was using concrete sand and I needed what they call bar sand here in the US. it's sifted to a finer grade.
How long until you remove the arch form?
