Refractory bricks for the ovens floor

I am interested in hearing of the experience of other wood fired pizza oven builders re the preferred bricks to use on the oven floor.
I have built a mudbrick beehive oven (2 metre diameter) in Annerley a year ago and used 25 mm thick refractrory bricks but would have used 75 mm bricks but they were very expensive.
What have you found works the best?
