Hi All
Firstly great site, have spent a lot of time surfing around to gain some inspiration to built my own leaning tower of pizza.
Just have a few questions that will hopefully not sound to air head.
I have just finished building the base for my oven, as wounder if any body has made the base of the pizza oven floor, inside the top of the base.
To explain a little better, I have made the outer wall of the base in limestone and have bricked the inner wall with just normal clay bricks, to waist hight. The base is now ready for me to place wood across and make the concrete slab (Base of the oven) to sit the oven on, in most of the pictures on your site, look like the base of the pizza oven is stand alone and does not appear to be connected to the outer wall of the pizza oven. What I would like to do is make the slab inside the outer walls, sitting on the inner brick base and cement the top all the way to the edge of the outer wall.
I a little scared if the concrete expanses that could crack the outer limestone wall of the base, or should I keep the concrete base of the oven away from he outer wall of the pizza oven.
