I have been thinking about that as well. It seems to me the best way would be to have the spit running longways, front to back instead of side to side.
At the far end of the oven, have a stand for one end of the spit. Then run the rod to the front of the oven and put a hole in the door. Run the spit out the door and into a motor outside the door to turn it.
You will probably have to put an open slot in the door so you can open and close it but this is just a rough idea. I havn't finished my oven yet much less put the rotisserie idea in place.
