I bought a pizza paddle from a restaurant supply place. For readers in North America, Superior Products (www.superprod.com) has a pizza paddle with a 16 in x 18 in aluminum paddle and a 19.5 in handle for USD $15.00. They have LOTS of other sizes. They also have all wood paddles. At superior products, you will have to search for them by their other name, "Pizza Peel".
I have not built my oven yet (waiting for the ground to thaw!) so I am hoping 19.5 in. is long enough.
Good luck!
