densecrete from Darley Refractories
From the WFO board
Posted by Giles
Hi all. I am about to begin building Masterly oven (thanks Rado) and have ordered firebricks (B-grade) from Darley Refractories. They have a product called Densecrete which is mixed directly with water and is for gaps larger than 3mm wide.
Is it OK to use this for firebrick mortar in the dome as the gaps on the outer edge of the dome are easily bigger than 3mm or should I use the fireclay recipe. Any comments would be very useful. Thanks from Adelaide, South Australia.
