Hi Bob, yes I do use forced air in my oven, it reduces the smoke out put by a lot (happy neighboures)it also speeds things up real quick, I am using a very small mains powered blower, it is out of a old commercial printing machine I think, anyway I adapted it to a section of 1 3/4 inch steel pipe (car exhaust pipe).
Then I rest it in the oven door way aiming at the base of a newly lit fire, but watch out heats up too fast may damage oven if left too long or unattended.
