Hey Charles...I sincerely doubt it, unless you have a kiln to to fire and harden the little devils up with. I have inquired with my building supply about # 2 bricks....they said they'll get back to me soon. First quality firebricks are $1.46 each...so I suspect # 2's will come in around $1.00. By the way....nice to haer someone ...sort of close by is building an oven. I am in the Okanagan Vally in Canada....just north of Wenatchee
