Oven opening witdth - Please help with a quick response
From the WFO board

I have poured my hearth slab according to the Swishy plans, with the ash slot, but I want to do the opening with an arch like in the Masterly Tail plans.
Does the width of the oven opening matter all that much? Right now mine would come to about 17.5 inches wide (10 inches high). Is that too wide for heat loss? Will it be hard to make an arch that wide?
I want to pour the concrete around the walls today, so a quick response would be greatly appreciated
