Yes you can however. Arch is often done for the reason of making oven's entry wider or higher because the arch sides are lower. You can make the entry wider. I often go up to 17" (430mm) entry width if a special pan will be used for cooking. Look at the MTo cd into the folder with the lows set built on ground Masterly oven, it has 17" (43cm) wide entry! Anyway with the Masterly it shouldn't be difficult to shift front firebricks from the corners towards the center to shrink the door width by 1" or ½".
And then if larger area in front corners was exposed just place in off cut piece of brick. I answered immediately as soon as I got up ;o) r
