Go ahead with these measurements the oven will perform same way. I recon there is only one reason why ovens are deeper and not wider, which is the corner right behind the entry. it's more awkward to place pots behind the corner. But then again, image this corner in 4m x 4m or 14' x 14' large oven, you get the corner anyway. it's just a matter of chosen construction.
