I think that having the chimney towards the front will be more efficient, but still I do not see any true studies as to how far from the front door, and how high the chimney in reference to the dome width and height is. Could you make a tutorial on this ... if you had the time?
I'm still trying to design some type of air-draft design with computer animation to actually show the draft direction flow from the front and what is the heat loss.
There is a lot of guessing at this time.
