Lloyd,
The stuff on the cd picture u1 or u2 is the cladding mix. And picture pictures around zf4 show also cladding layer being put over the top of firebricks, there is also the aluminum cooking foil showing that goes on top of firebricks and reinforcing mesh as well. I often mix this concrete cladding just by hand in wheelbarrow and then throw it on top shovel by shovel. Cladding mixing recipe and how to work with it is in cd's documentation reading, also about the aluminum foil and reinforcing mesh. It is very easy, when you place the mix on spread it and as it is setting smooth it with metal trowel. r
